Simplify Karnaugh maps, minimize Boolean and propositional formulae, convert Boolean formulae to SOP, POS, and decimal notation, convert propositional formulate into DNF and CNF – this sort of functionality and more is offered by Logic Minimizer to Windows, Mac, and Linux users from all over the world.

The system requirements for running Logic Minimizer are quite low: 500Mhz processor, 64MB of RAM memory, 12.5MB of free disk space, mouse or pointing device, Windows/Mac/Linux operating system. Putting the spotlight on Microsoft’s operating system, it must be said that Logic Minimizer works with anything from Windows 98 up to Windows 7.

The expression you’re working on is presented front and center on the application’s interface. At the top, in the upper left hand corner, there’s a traditional File Menu and a toolbar with buttons for various functions Logic Minimizer can perform. Overall, the interface is quite easy to navigate. It won’t take you long to get accustomed to it.

To quickly present Logic Minimizer’s functionality, here’s a look at its main features: two modes to choose from, mainly Karnaugh Map and Propositional Logic Truth Table; undo/redo; cut/copy/paste; step by step solver; minimize, convert Boolean formulae; highlight a minimized term on the Karnaugh map; draw a logic circuit; and more.

Please note that Logic Minimizer is not free, it is only free to try. The trial is limited to a 30-day evaluation period; variables 5 to 24 are available only to registered users.

Get Logic Minimizer and you will find that it does a properly good job of simplifying logical expressions.
